5 Tips for Treating Your Skin this Holiday Season!

Looking to be your most radiant self this holiday season? Let our Skin Care Expert, Melina Galeadi, guide you through the skin care jungle by sharing her best tips for great winter skin.

HOW DOES WINTER WEATHER AFFECT OUR SKIN?
Winter weather is very harsh on the skin, which creates imbalance. This is especially true in countries where winters are dry. In these climates the impact is even greater and ageing signs are accelerated. One result, for instance, is more visible expression lines due to loss of moisture.

WHAT ARE YOUR BEST TIPS TO HELP REBALANCE THE SKIN?
There are a number of things we can do to protect and strengthen our skin during the winter months. Here are a few tips:

1. CLEANSER MILK
Switch your foam cleanser to a milk cleanser. You can either use the milk twice daily or use a milk cleanser in the morning and a foam cleanser at night. This will assure that the skin is not stripped of its precious oil.
We recommend: NovAge Smoothing Cleansing Milk

2. SCRUB
Contrary to common belief, you should use a scrub in winter to remove dead skin cells and dry patches. A milder scrub is to prefer.
We recommend: NovAge Smoothing Exfoliating Scrub

3. RICH MOISTURISER
Switch your moisturizer to a richer kind. Alternatively, if you do not want change your moisturiser, you can add a drop of facial oil to your cream. That will deliver the additional nourishment your skin needs and give you a natural glow.
We recommend: EcoBeauty Face Cream

4. FACIAL OIL
Use a facial oil to help deeply nourish your skin. Wear it at night when your skin is the most receptive and will allow the oil to be properly absorbed. Try a product with organic Argan Oil which will nourish your skin and reveal a glowing complexion.
We recommend: EcoBeauty Facial Oil

5. MASK
Use a moisturising and/or nourishing mask at least twice a week to keep your skin moisturised and nourished.
I recommend: Creamy Mask Oat

Bonus tips
Don’t forget to drink a lot of water and use a humidifier - especially while you are sleeping. Heaters tend to create a dry indoor environment, so a humidifier is crucial to maintain the room’s humidity level at an optimum level. You will see the results on your skin in the morning!
