How to repair damaged hair: a powerful routine
Published: 27/05/2025 | Author: Julie Gunn
Frequent bleaching, colouring and heat styling can leave hair brittle, broken and dull. But all is not lost! Transform damaged hair with our 5-step haircare routine featuring Duologi Bond Repair, which rebuilds and reinforces broken hair bonds for your strongest, glossiest hair ever!
What is Bond Repair Technology?
Bond Repair Technology is a natural biotech amino acid ingredient derived from Lupin Peptides, which can penetrate the cuticle and reach deep into the hair cortex to repair broken hair bonds – chemical links, which connect the hair’s proteins to keep hair strong and healthy-looking.
Chemical treatments like bleaching, colouring and perming, heated styling tools and harsh shampoos, can all cause the bonds to break – and once the bonds are broken, the cuticle of the hair is left open to even further damage. Hair with broken bonds will be dry, dull and stiff, frizzy, tangly and break easily. Rebuilding damaged bonds restores the hair’s structure from within, to leave it strong, supple, smooth and fabulously shiny.
Step 1: Overnight bond repair treatment
Duologi Bond Repair Overnight Hair Serum delivers 8-hour overnight repair. The formula is easily absorbed by the hair and pillow-proof.
Apply once a week in the evening, as follows. How much serum to use varies depending on the length of your hair and whether its texture is thin/medium/coarse.
Short hair: split hair into 3 equal sections. Pumps of serum per section: 2/3/4
Medium hair: split hair into 4 equal sections. Pumps of serum per section: 3/4/5
Long hair: split hair into 5 equal sections. Pumps of serum per section: 3/4/5

Apply the serum evenly through the hair from root to tip. Leave in the hair overnight, for at least 8 hours.
Step 2: 5-minute pre-shampoo treatment
As well as rebuilding broken hair bonds, Duologi Bond Repair Pre-Shampoo also deeply hydrates, and – importantly – helps to keep the cuticle closed and protected during washing.
