DERMALIFT ACTIVE

DermaLift Active is a natural active, which was selected because it offers retinol-like collagen and elastin stimulation but without the typical skin tolerance problems. DermaLift Active has been proven in vitro to boost collagen by 63% and clinically proven in vivo to reduce crow’s feet wrinkles and improve skin elasticity.

DermaLift Active is an ‘upcycled’ and sustainably-sourced ingredient, extracted from Rambutan trees cultivated in organic-certified gardens in Vietnam. This potent form of the polyphenol, corilagin, is obtained from the leaf through aqueous extraction and concentrated. This process enables DermaLift Active to deliver around 15 times higher concentration of coraligin than is present in the original leaf.

3D POLLUTION GUARD

Pollution can be a trigger for sensitive skin – pollution particles contain chemicals which can be absorbed by the skin that can disturb normal skin functions. 3D Pollution Guard is a natural technology, designed to prevent pollution particles from making contact with the skin. The technology combines two biopolymers – extracted from plants, which interconnect to form a dense, mesh-like structure. The mesh is completely imperceptible to the senses, yet practically impenetrable to harmful pollution particles, acting like a second skin to prevent them from coming into contact with yours.

As a secondary benefit, the mesh formed by 3D Pollution Guard also offers tensor benefits, to provide a lifting and firming effect.

AIRY FOAM

Airy Foam is the result of mild, biodegradable surfactants dispensed from the special auto-foaming pack. The formulation was specially created for sensitive skin. The surfactant formulation is pushed through a fine mesh in the pump bottle resulting in the airy, moussy foam. The blend of surfactants used strikes just the right balance between cleaning efficacy while respecting the integrity of the skin barrier.

D-PANTHENOL

D-Panthenol – also known as provitamin B5 – is a low molecular weight active that can readily cross the skin barrier. Panthenol promotes hydration and is even more effective when combined with glycerin. It improves skin barrier function, and can also help reduce discomfort associated with sensitive skin.

EYEREVIVE TECHNOLOGY

EyeRevive Technology is a multifunctional active combining the powerful, polyphenol-rich extracts from two white flowers – Arabian Jasmine and Hawthorn. It is designed to reduce dark circles and under-eye puffiness, which can appear when blood products including the yellow-orange pigment bilirubin escape from weakened blood vessels and accumulate in the surrounding tissue, and from excess melanin production. Eye Revive has been shown in vitro to decrease vascular permeability – which correlates with stronger blood vessel walls. EyeRevive Technology has been shown in vivo to reduce dark circles within 14 days^∆2.

VITAMIN E

Vitamin E is a fat soluble vitamin that helps to protect against free radical damage. Primarily helps to prevent the oxidation of cell wall lipids, which is a key feature in helping to maintain the integrity of the skin barrier and therefore the moisturised state of the skin.

SPF 30

The UV filters used in NovAge Skinrelief are proven to provide SPF 30 protection against UVB radiation.

NATURAL LIPIDS

One of the most important qualities of the skin barrier is the lipid layer – a matrix of special fats which bond our skin cells together in a tight, orderly and strong construction, similar to the way mortar holds the bricks of a wall together. This lipid layer is crucial for healthy, youthful skin, but it is often compromised in sensitive skin, and also declines as we age. When the lipid layer is compromised, the whole barrier is compromised: water can leave the skin more readily, and aggressors can enter the skin more readily too. A compromised skin barrier will appear rough, dry and dull may be prone to redness, breakouts and irritation. NovAge Skinrelief Night Cream is formulated with a blend of skin-mimetic natural lipids including Shea Butter and Swedish Oat Oil.
