Glycolic acid is a sought-after saviour of sun-damaged skin and a go-to ingredient for brightening and evening skin tone. As a fast, effective chemical exfoliator, it encourages cell turnover, weakening the bonds between dead skin cells so they slough off evenly to reveal fresh, new skin beneath.
