Glycolic acid is a sought-after saviour of sun-damaged skin and a go-to ingredient for brightening and evening skin tone. As a fast, effective chemical exfoliator, it encourages cell turnover, weakening the bonds between dead skin cells so they slough off evenly to reveal fresh, new skin beneath. Glycolic acid is in the AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) family of exfoliating acids, along with Lactic and Malic acids. Being the smallest molecule of all the AHAs, it easily penetrates skin and gets to work fast.

This multi-purpose exfoliating acid is an excellent choice for bright, smooth, firm and hydrated skin. An AHA (alpha hydroxy acid), Lactic Acid works by encouraging skin to shed dead cells and transfering new cells to the surface. As a larger molecule than Glycolic acid, Lactic acid is generally well tolerated by most skin types.
